Intentar resumir una jornada como la de Sant Jordi en imágenes es muy difícil. Creo de verdad que tiene que vivirse.
It's almost impossible to review Sant Jordi's day in photos. This day has to be lived.
I say this because it's a day full of emotions and it's very difficult to capture all them in a photo, above all if one is a "sorcerer's-apprentice-photographer" as I am.
In addition to this I must say that I only could go to the center at 19:00 and it was the WAR! What is more, it was a kind of "guerrilla war" since I found ambushes every step I took. Only who has ever fallen into the temptation of walking Rambla Catalunya at that hour of Sant Jordi's day can understand what I'm trying to say.
Anyway, you know, photography catch the moment so what you are going to see in these pictures, even if not perfect, is what was happening in Barcelona that day.
What I can't convey through these images is the aroma of the roses and books, the sound of thousands of people walking the city, the heat of that evening or the sparkle in lovers' eyes. To feel all these feelings you'd better come to Barcelona next year.
